How we eliminate mold

Going to the root — the moisture — is what keeps mold from coming back.

  1. 1

    Inspection & moisture

We look for the source: mold grows from moisture. We identify the source and measure the humidity of the affected area.

  2. 2

    Containment

We isolate the area to keep spores from spreading to the rest of the property while we work.

  3. 3

    Removal & cleaning

We remove the affected material that can't be recovered and clean the surfaces with appropriate equipment and products.

  4. 4

    Drying & prevention

We dry the area and guide you on how to control the humidity so the mold doesn't come back.

Documentation ready for your adjuster

We document the remediation process with time-stamped photos, moisture readings and reports of the affected area, from the initial inspection to final drying. That gives you a clear file showing what was done and how the area was left.

We support you with that documentation for your claim. Keep in mind that mold coverage varies quite a bit between policies, so it's best to confirm with your insurer what yours covers; we provide the documentary backup to support your case.

Mold remediation FAQ

Why do I get mold in my home in Puerto Rico?

Mold grows wherever there's constant moisture, and the island's humid climate favors it. Leaks, air-conditioning condensation, poor ventilation or water damage that wasn't dried well are the most common causes. That's why we always find and attack the source, not just the visible mold.

Is it safe to remove mold myself?

A small, surface area can sometimes be handled at home with care. But in larger areas, removing mold without containment spreads the spores through the rest of the property and makes it worse. In those cases, remediation with containment to isolate the area is the way to go.

Does mold come back after removal?

If the moisture that caused it isn't corrected, yes it comes back. That's why we identify and attack the source, dry the area and guide you on controlling humidity. Removing mold without solving the source is a temporary fix; we go to the root of the problem.

Do you help with the mold insurance claim?

We document the process with time-stamped photos, moisture readings and reports of the affected area, and we support you with the documentation. Keep in mind that mold coverage varies a lot by policy, so confirm with your insurer what yours covers before starting.

How long does mold remediation take?

It depends on the size of the affected area, the material and how much moisture there is. A localized area can be resolved quickly; a more widespread one takes longer. The most accurate way is to do the inspection first, identify the scope and give you a clear estimate.
